Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Accent10 Composition Seminar

Accent10 (June 11-16, 2010) is a chamber music and new music festival in which participants have the opportunity to perform alongside outstanding artist-faculty. This year, college age composers will have a fantastic opportunity to participate in master classes with guest composer Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon (http://www.zohnmuldoon.com/). The festival also includes a new music faculty concert on Saturday, June 12, at 8 PM.

Participants will receive:

Daily master classes with Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon
A private composition lesson with Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon
Performance of a short piece (ca. 3 minutes) on one of the Accent10 Young Artists concerts
Plenty of opportunity for one-on-one dialogue with performers and composers


Application

Each application package must include:
1. Completed application form [http://www.ccm.uc.edu/musicx/accent/Accent10ccApply.pdf]
2. Scores of two recent compositions for small ensemble. Include recordings of these pieces, if available.
3. Non-refundable $80 application fee.

The application deadline is Monday, April 26. N.B. This is a receipt deadline.

College Credit

Graduate and undergraduate academic credit is available for an extra fee, to be paid separately by check or credit card. The course number is 16 FAM 630. University of Cincinnati credit hour fees are subject to change.

$520 payable upon acceptance into program and no later than May 10, 2010 (checks only, no cash).All checks should be payable to "University of Cincinnati."
