composer FAIL #25 (about time)

I have been waiting for this rejection letter for a while now. Remember this?

Have you wondered how eighth blackbird selected their winners? Or, more importantly, how did they go through all 501 submissions? I have these hypotheses.

1. They're used to it. With so many unsolicited scores sent to them, they have the habit of devouring many scores daily.
2. Someone in their family owns a peanut factory and made all their peanut shellers open these envelopes and go through these scores until they found "the ones."
3. Switched from chewing gum to opening score submissions.
4. Watched lots of television while opening these score submissions.
5. It was just fate.

Sadly, I did not find a golden ticket.

But I knew this was coming.
